For the Record
I had a few comments complimenting me on Annika's blessing dress and thought I'd better shed light on how on earth I made it. My mother. Okay, I did do a good portion of the sewing but please know that this was an enrichment project (when it was called homemaking--for church) back when I went to Snow College. So almost a decade ago. I had most of it done before I was even married and all of it was done at home with my mother. When I found out I was having a girl, my mom and I dug it out of the depths of storage and finished it on the trips I had at home where either Caleb was sleeping or someone else was entertaining him. My mom did the hard parts like the sleeves because I didn't even want to attempt placing them in the holes, and my Grammy did the button holes on the back. So before you get too impressed remember my mom has a degree in clothing and textiles and is an extremely talented seamstress. I can do basic sewing and thus did all the straight lines.

This all makes it even cooler!
that is completely okay. i have very little sewing skills, so I am envious you were able to do it with your mother at all. I haven't been home long enough to do any cool sewing projects like that with my mom, so I think it's pretty cool that you were able to do it with your mom and grandma. It is a beautiful dress. and an even more beautiful little girl. :)
Charity,
On my blog you left a question about the Massachussetts Health Plan. My personal opinion is that its not very good. This editorial in the wall street journal is a good analysis

That dress was made by three generations-that is awesome! And she looks so adorable in it. When's the blessing day? You need to get a professional (or at least professional-looking) picture of her in that dress-so gorgeous!
Charity- You are awesome! What a treasure for little Annika. She is BEAUTIFUL! And I LOVE the two crowns :). I always wanted (and thought I would have) babies with dark hair. No such luck. And I can't believe how big Caleb is! Time flies. I still think about our walks with so much fondness. I'm so glad we can keep in touch through blogging. I love peeking in on your life! Congratulations on sweet little Annika!!
I am impressed you found it! I searched for the one I started then when I was pregnant with Katie but it is MIA. It looks beautiful!
p.s. We are still wondering how you pronounce Annika.
